An incredible team of planners and coordinators oversees the Guadalajara Service Learning Project:

Meet Bobby Vaughn:

Dr. BobbyDr. Bobby Vaughn is a faculty member in Sociology/Psychology at Notre Dame de Namur University. You can find his office near the cafeteria. He always has a friendly smile and a cheerful greeting. You can email him at bvaughn@ndnu.edu. When you work with Dr. Bobby in the Guadalajara Service Learning Project, you might find him leading groups of students on outings during the day, taking pictures that intimately reflect the heart of the Mexican community, leading local tours for NDNU project participants, reflecting with the NDNU teaching team after the young learners have left, or ... if you're really fortunate, you might happen upon Dr. Bobby taking a break to play his drums some warm evening.

Meet Ruth Zucca:

Ruth Victorino ZuccaSra. Ruth Victorino Zucca teaches Spanish classes at Notre Dame de Namur University. You can find her office in St. Mary's Hall across from the PC Lab. You can email her at rvictorino@ndnu.edu, or call her at 650 508 3672. When you get to Guadalajara, Sra. Ruth will always have a kind word of encouragement and an organizational tip or word of advice to get you through. If you have forgotten your sunscreen or didn't bring everything on your list, she knows just the little shop in downtown Guadalajara to get you through. She delights in meeting the special people in your family and helping you translate a story for your lesson the next day. And ... if you are really fortunate, you might happen upon Sra. Ruth taking a break to sketch a bit of local scenery that catches her eye.

Meet Sister Janet:

Sister JanetIf you are a little nervous about where you are going to stay or what you should do in your home-away-from-home during the Guadalajara Service Learning Project, your worries will melt away the minute you meet Sister Janet at the airport. While the NDNU Guadalajara Service Project team is planning strategies on the three required Saturday planning dates at NDNU, Sister Janet is  coordinating just the right families for each visitor in the NDNU Team to stay with, planning possible outings, finalizing the building where we will work with the children, sharing pictures, and telling the community all about us. Sister Janet is a fabulous liaison between our NDNU Project and the Guadalajara community.
